The Victorian age is over, people and the latest designs have moved on. Have you? Use these modern design tips to improve your home and stay on trend with what’s fresh and fabulous.

When improving your home, make sure to make your home as open as possible with big interior spaces and big windows; not to mention bright colors that get rid of that stuffy room feeling. Some popular colors this season include seafoam green as well as celadon, jade, pale gold and grassy tans, pale silvered almond and walnut. So, you should definitely make sure to consider those when styling up your home. If you’re looking for even more color variety, an ever popular color palette is the Le Corbusier’s KT 32 palette, composed of warm and cool blue, light and dark green, deep reds, brown and neutrals that draw attention to natural materials used in construction.

On the other hand, make sure to avoid patterns on pattern room schemes, as they look over the top and don't go well with open floor plans now made possible by pourable concrete that eliminates load bearing walls.

Finally, make sure to avoid looking as if you're trying too hard and therefore resulting in a very over the top look. Instead, try to embrace the new wave of simpler, more comfortable designs that are sure to make you, and your guests, happy in your home.

With these surefire tips, your house will soon be the talk of the town!
